Veterinary Technician Job Description

Our mission at Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital is to honor the bond between our clients and their animals. We strive to create a happy, healthy, and productive life for our clients’ pets and to enhance their relationship with them.


As our veterinary technician, you are our patients’ advocate. As such, we require independent and compassionate people that are able to stay calm in potentially stressful or emergency situations. Job duties include client communication and education, patient monitoring throughout the hospital, technical skills such as venipuncture, administering treatments and supportive care. 

We know a happy, healthy staff is crucial to excellent patient care. We promote a positive clinic culture and a schedule that facilitates a proper work-life balance. Our team enjoys four-day work weeks with the occasional half-shift on Saturdays.

Customer Service Representative Job Description

Our mission at Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital is to honor the bond between our clients and their animals. We strive to create a happy, healthy, and productive life for our clients’ pets and to enhance their relationship with them.


As our Customer Service Representative, you are our clients' first and last point of contact at our hospital. As such, we are looking for patient and compassionate people, able to stay calm in potentially stressful or emergency situations. Job duties include answering multi-line phone calls, scheduling appointments and procedures, collecting information for new clients and patients, as well as client check-in and flow. Basic computer skills are a must as our practice management software is web based. Customer service experience required, veterinary experience is preferred, but not required!

Our Customer Service team enjoys four-day work weeks with the occasional half-shift on Saturdays, no nights, holidays, or on-call shifts.

Kennel Technician Job Description

Our mission at Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital is to honor the bond between our clients and their animals. We strive to create a happy, healthy, and productive life for our clients’ pets and to enhance their relationship with them.


As our Kennel Technician, you are our patient advocates. As such, we require patient, independent and compassionate people, able to stay calm in potentially stressful or emergency situations. Job duties include providing care for animals boarded at our clinic. Clean kennels, cages, runs, and walks; feed and medicate the pets; laundry; wash feeding bowls. Clean restrooms, restock restrooms, exam rooms, drawers, bottles, etc., empty trash, and clean surgical instruments.

Our Kennel tech should be ready to:

Essential Skills:


• Effective communication; both with team members and clients.

• Ability to apply knowledge and skills in controlling/handling individual animal temperament.

• Have the ability to gain animal confidence when restraining them for transport and/or treatment.

• Contribute to our hospital's culture in a positive way.


Physical Effort :


You will be often required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs., frequently required to handle materials up to 20 lbs., and handle dogs weighing up to 150 lbs. Walking and/or standing for long periods. Frequent work is a bent position. May be required to use strength or agility in capturing and restraining stronger, more active animals.
